A BIG BOOST FOR YOUSTART


 11 BANKS SIGNED UNTO YOUSTART 



The Akufo Addo Led government has persistently shows it's commitment in providing jobs to the teaming youths in the country.  Records from the labor and employment Ministry indicates that, the NPP government has created over 5million direct jobs since it took office.


The introduction of NABCO alone in the President's first term offered close to over 100, 000 jobs to the  Ghanaian graduates youth.


The program as we all know  was a 3years Contract which ended in September, 2022 , however, the government has introduced yet another big initiative ( *YouStart* ), which is going to create 1Million Jobs to the youth. 


The Deputy Finance Minister , Hon. John Kumah announced on his Social Media platforms last week that , 11 Banks has officially signed unto the YouStart program.

On Tuesday, 20 September 2022, 11 banks officially signed unto the Youstart Commercial Component. 


What this means for the Ghanaian youth is that these partner banks under the Youstart commercial programme will give out loans from GHC 100,000 to 500,000 at reduced interest rates, will not demand for collateral, will offer training and technical support to businesses of young people over the next 2-3 years as we seek to create 1 million jobs and empower a mass number of the Ghanaian youth to be business owners and creators.


This is unprecedented and a commitment by this government to end unemployment in Ghana through innovative and sustainable means. The banks are responsible for their own assessment, disbursement and recovery of their loans with no Government interference."


This should be a welcoming news to the teaming graduate youth in the country.
