 *MIKE OQUAYE JNR'S 3RD BID WILL THE ANCHOR ⚓🔱⚓🔱 HOLD* ?


Dome Kwabenya has been in the news for negative  reasons since the last couple of months.  The absence of the Sitting Member of Parliament , Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, amidst the passage of the controversial E-levy aroused a lot of concern with key NPP figures playing a role in the bushing of the MP, some of whom were calling for by-elections others expercially the NDC , Empathizing with her something which should have  sent a strong message to our party . For the NDC to support Adwoa Safo isn't something normal in our politics.


In all these the biggest beneficiary seems to be the Son of the former Speaker of Parliament , Mike OQUAYE JNR , as he seeks to take advantage of the absence of the MP ,  he has  allegedly sponsored hate speech , organized    demonstrations against the MP, sponsored Media programs and the latest one is the deliberate removal and suspension of known  sympathizers of the MP which resulted in the sudden withdrawal of candidature of Ten (10) known Stanched supporters of the Hon. MP lead by Mr. Isaac Antwi from the just ended constituency elections.

In all these awkward treatment melted on to the Hon. Member of Parliament, Hon. Adwoa Safo, it is evidently clear the mother party is in support of the OQUAYES against the MP because all  attempts to get things resolved has been deliberately ignored. 


Now, to the question, *will* *THE ANCHOR OF  MIKE OQUAYE JNR'S 3RD BID HOLD?*  

First of all, it is very unfortunate and regrettable MIKE OQUAYE JNR has  to think of going to Parliament through the backdoor, does he has to allegedly sponsor removal and suspension of hardworking members before he can go to Parliament,? again , does he has to take a by elections before he can go to Parliament,? does it has to take national security protection before he can go to Parliament?   If the answers to all these questions is a YES then I doubt he is the right man for the job and again I doubt he has what it takes to retain the seat for NPP in the Constituency. 

MIKE OQUAYE JNR is not seen in the Constituency neither is any project of his seen in the Constituency, not even one single Borehole has been dug by him so the question is which record or project is he going to stand on to seek for the people's mandate expercially now that , himself and , the father as well as the party are  fighting  Hon. Adwoa Safo. 

Infact , MIKE OQUAYE dream of becoming an MP is can simply be describe as a forced one something that his father is seriously imposing on him and by extension the party .It would however, be suicidal if the NPP stakes their bet on him. I'm saying this because if indeed he  has that intention to one day become the MP he would not have ignored the party anytime he loses primaries  , he goes on hibernation , come back with cash to buy  off delegates with no physical commitments. 

One would have thought  since the father wants him to become the MP at all cost the father would even build a party office in his Name so that he can stand on that  achievement but as I speak now he himself or the father after has nothing to show as stakeholders of the party in that constituency.

Looking at the Votes Hon. Adwoa Safo pulled in 2016 and 2020 and what she has done so far in the Constituency, ie. Road infrastructure, School infrastructure, human resource development, Job creation,  Loans, NHIS office, Court Office complex , Party Office in the pipeline one will ask so how is Mike OQUAYE JNR someone who has nothing to show in the Constituency going to retain the seat for NPP if  the NPP decides to go ahead to do a by elections and Adwoa Safo decides to contest as an Independent Candidate.  Well I think the party should critically think beyond individual personal sentiment or interest because they can only retain their Dome kwabenya's seat with Adwoa Safo's support. They should ask the former Speaker of Parliament, Hon Pro. Mike OQUAYE what was his contribution in Dome kwabenya during his days as the speaker, how many constituents did he helped to get a job, how many boreholes did he gave to the constituents , how many Kilometers of roads did he Lobbied to Dome kwabenya, how many infrastructure were Lobbied by him to the constituency I can go on and on,  I mean he has nothing to show during that period neither does his Son has any  for him to force his Son on the constituency just because he wants to protect a legacy.

The party should be very tactical with the way they are handling Hon.Adwoa SAFO because there is no way they can be able to retain the Dome kwabenya Seat if Adwoa Safo is contesting as independent candidate. They should not be deceived at all . Adwoa Safo personally has 30,000+  family , friends and Sympathizers who will vote for her any day anytime. 

I would not be surprised if the  NDC lobby  Hon. Adwoa Safo to support Thier candidate going into 2024 Looking at how they have supported and sympathized with her at a time her own party  fought against her . Politics is all about numbers and the NDC is prepared to take advantage of the situation.


In conclusion, it is very clear from the above that, the anchor ⚓🔱 will never hold for the OQUAYE'S and that the party needs to rethink about Their decision to sideline , Hon. Adwoa Safo.
