HIGHLIGHTS OF PUBLIC ENDORSEMENTS OF DR. BAWUMIA'S PRESIDENTIAL BID

As the NPP prepares to choose a successor to President Akufo-Addo as the flagbearer of the party to break the 8 years NPP/ NDC political baton, It is believes that the contest will be between Hon. Alan kyeremanteng, the former Trade Minister and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the vice President with a Hon. Kennedy Agyapong as a third force.

This article focuses on public endorsement made by important public figures both from within the party and outside the party.

I would like to start with the Asantehene, Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu.
" *How sad that she will not be around to see what the future holds for her Son" "but indeed the matriarch can depart in response to call of her creator in the knowledge that she has impacted upon her nation as few ever would in their lives and above all, that the nation will continue to enjoy the fruit of her endeavor long many generations to come* Nana said this when he gave a tribute at the Vice President's Mother's funeral.

Another important endorsement is that of the head Pastor of the makers house chapel international, Prophet. Boadi Nyamekye.

" *With such a great heart he has, I believe that, Dr. Bawumia has the right to do the right things for the nation, he is a Muslim but I like him despite the fact that I am a pastor, so if you are a Christian you should love him and if you have another faith aside his, you should still love him. Men are supposed not to be judged not by their religion but their capacity and what they bring to the table"*

In a birthday wishes to Dr. Bawumia, the President of Imani Africa, Kofi Bantil, made a very heart warming endorsement of Dr. Bawumia describing him as the best on the political scene.
" *Nothing to hide about the fact that this man is the best on the political scene today"*
Apart from his birthday endorsement he has subsequently endorsed Dr. Bawumia in a more interesting phrases.
**The strongest tree are those that bend in the storm but do not break* "

*" You are a strong tree you will stand through every storm_ "*

*"When it is all done you will wave your leaves and branches in victory when the calm comes after the storm"*
" I *will be there clapping, u won't be surprised, I Know you are made of the right stuff* "

Hon. Frank Annoh Dompreh, the majority chief whip in Parliament has also made an open choice of Dr. Bawumia as his favorite stating categorically that, by God's grace , the next President of Ghana will be Dr. Bawumia.

*"Dr. Bawumia occupies about 70% to 80% of our political discussions we can not do without him* "

This bold statement was made by Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah , MP for Afigya kwabre North constituency .

Dr. Etse Sikanku in a very detailed endorsement of “Dr. Bawumia stated that,
"“But for all that it is worth, Dr. Bawumia has succeeded in transforming the Vice Presidency from one of docility to activism, symbolic representation to policy implementation and from mysticism to realism. When the history of democratic politics is written in Ghana, Dr. Bawumia will occupy a special place because of the courage, unorthodoxy and agression that he brought to the position. Time and again, he has been at the receiving end of jokes and criticism due to his overwhelming focus on digitization, but he has remained resolute and unwavering in his digital ambitions for Ghana. His political beliefs are rooted in pragmatism, realism and the idea that to seize the moment in a fast-moving world, this country needs to embrace digital know-how in order to improve the economy and better the lives of citizens. Bawumia’s approach is therefore data-driven and action-oriented with an eye on innovation and reformation.”

Before I end and continue in subsequent articles with more of the public endorsements I would like to end by quoting Dr. Mark Asibey, " *Dr. Bawumia has paid his dues and would be a good President* "

Let go for Dr. Bawumia, let go for innovation, let go for pragmatism, let go for digitalization.

Best regards

 *Yaw Patriots (Mr. OWUSU)*
