HON. ALAN KYEREMANTENG SHOULD MUSTER THE COURAGE TO CALL THE LIKES OF HON. AYEH PAYE TO ORDER

All too soon the New Patriotic Party will be going to congress to elect a flagbearer to replace the President, Nana Akufo Addo in an interesting contest between the first class Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, the former Trade Minister and a former resignee of the NPP.

Even though national council is yet to come out with timelines for the elections there have been a lot of public pronouncements by sympathizers of both candidates . This write up  seeks to draw  the attention of delegates to some shameful and unfortunate pronouncements been made by campaign team members of the former Trade Minister who also doubles as a former resignee of the party. From a trend analysis of public pronouncements and utterances by key members  Hon. Alan kyeremanteng campaign team it is very clear the  message of Hon. Alan kyeremanteng going into the contest.

The fulcrum of Hon. Alan kyeremanteng's campaign is sadly positioned on a religion. ie Playing the religious card.

One would have thought the backlashes Hopeson Adoye's unfortunate analogy made in Kumasi received was going to put an end to such distasteful and 1980' messages but unfortunately that has not been the case.

Hon. Ayeh Paye has on several occasions talk down Muslims in almost all of his public interviews making it seems as if Muslims and Christians are on loggerheads in this country that Christians will not accept  Muslim President in this country when they have accepted a Muslim Vice in the past..

What Ayeh Paye has forgotten is that , though Dr. Bawumia is a Muslim he has on two occasions succeeded in convincing Ghanaians which according to he Ayeh Paye is  dominated by Christians to vote for the NPP and will do that for the 3rd time as the flagbearer of the NPP come 2024.

It is very intriguing to know that, Hon. Alan kyeremanteng remains silent on these sensitive issues as he sits down for his key campaign members to go on that tangent which suggests that he  approved of those comments and infact a such comments form part of his  Campaign messages to win the hearts of delegates

They were going to make the *Adu wo so* slogan the fulcrum of his  message but they have realized that it is not selling hence have resorted to the religious cards.

As an advocate of religious tolerance I would like to encourage Hon. Former Trade Ministry, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng to muster the courage to call his campaign team members to order and task them to be decorous in their public utterances and campaign on issues devoid of religious sentiments. We all have a duty to promote, protect and defend our party's constitution.

The NPP and for that matter Ghana is an interdenominational country and does not vote base on religion but on competence.

Thank you.

Long live the NPP

Long live DMB

Long live Ghana.

Best regards Yaw Patriots(Mr. Owusu)
