HON. ALAN KYEREMANTENG SHOULD MUSTER THE COURAGE TO CALL THE LIKES OF HON. AYEH PAYE TO ORDER

Image
All too soon the New Patriotic Party will be going to congress to elect a flagbearer to replace the President, Nana Akufo Addo in an interesting contest between the first class Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, the former Trade Minister and a former resignee of the NPP. Even though national council is yet to come out with timelines for the elections there have been a lot of public pronouncements by sympathizers of both candidates . This write up  seeks to draw  the attention of delegates to some shameful and unfortunate pronouncements been made by campaign team members of the former Trade Minister who also doubles as a former resignee of the party. From a trend analysis of public pronouncements and utterances by key members  Hon. Alan kyeremanteng campaign team it is very clear the  message of Hon. Alan kyeremanteng going into the contest.  The fulcrum of Hon. Alan kyeremanteng's campaign is sadly positioned on a reli...

HIGHLIGHTS OF PUBLIC ENDORSEMENTS OF DR. BAWUMIA'S PRESIDENTIAL BID

Image
As the NPP prepares to choose a successor to President Akufo-Addo as the flagbearer of the party to break the 8 years NPP/ NDC political baton, It is believes that the contest will be between Hon. Alan kyeremanteng, the former Trade Minister and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the vice President with a Hon. Kennedy Agyapong as a third force. This article focuses on public endorsement made by important public figures both from within the party and outside the party. I would like to start with the Asantehene, Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu.  " *How sad that she will not be around to see what the future holds for her Son" "but indeed the matriarch can depart in response to call of her creator in the knowledge that she has impacted upon her nation as few ever would in their lives and above all, that the nation will continue to enjoy the fruit of her endeavor long many generations to come* Nana said this when he gave a tribute at the Vice President's Mother's funeral. Another imp...

THE POSITION OF THE NDC ON GALAMSAY HAS ALWAYS BEEN CONTINUITY, THEY SHOULD SPARE US THEIR USUAL DOUBLE STANDARDS

Image
*THE POSITION OF THE NDC ON GALAMSAY HAS ALWAYS BEEN CONTINUITY , THEY SHOULD SPARE US THEIR USUAL DOUBLE STANDARDS* In the history of Ghana's  democracy there has not been any President who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the fight against Galamsay than Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo , Ghana's current president. Taking Ghanaians down memory lane , we will recall the president puts his Presidency on the line to end the menace and indeed we are all witness to the numerous politics and program implemented after that patriotic declaration on Galamsay. The results of the 2020 Presidential elections clearly shows a massive dropped in the  President's Votes margin as compared to 2016 in the Galamsay communities this obviously is as a result of the President's pronouncement on Galamsay after he won 2016 elections. In all these the NDC stands to be the beneficiary as they capitalized on the President's Commitment in the fight against Galamsay to amass votes in the Ga...

THE CULTURE OF BOOING IS NOT OUR CULTURE

Image
*THE CULTURE OF BOOING IS NOT OUR CULTURE* The Ghanaian culture is one of the enviable cultures in the world. Been it the Akan Culture, the Northern Culture, the western Culture and what have you.  Our culture has never taught us to disrespectful or rebellious against authorities, again our rich cultures  does not teach us to reprimand the elderly in public  Our culture is one that teaches us to respect authorities even if we disagree with them . Our culture has always taught us to follow due processes and for that matter those so called sponsored youth had no reason or so ever to do what they did.  The dangerous part of this whole booing incident is the political support it has received from the desperate opposition NDC in a way to score cheap political points.  Isn't it surprising for the NDC party who wants us to believe it was not behind that scandalous act seen  defending  those  sponsored youths at all level as if Ghanaians do not kno...

He was a Member of Parliament for Asante-Akyem North constituency between January 1997 until his untimely death on September 24, 2008. He served as a Minister of state at different ministries under the Kufuor government from 2001. These ministries include; Local Government and Rural Development, Youth and Sports as well as Finance.  In 2005, he became the first Finance Minister in Ghana's history to present the country's Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament before the arrival of that fiscal year with his budget for the fiscal year 2006. DR BAWUMIA'S DIGITIZATION JOURNEY, SO FAR SO GOOD

Image
The Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia a renounced economist and Digitization advocate has over the years trumpeted the need for African countries to embrace Digitization as a key  to leapfrogging the advanced countries.  The Vice President position on digitization has been mocked by the opposition NDC as they say the Vice President is running from the economy to hide behind digitization. The opposition has downplayed the connection between Digitization and the economy. According to the Vice President there is no way we can get a strong economy without digitization, How could the government increase revenue at the port without digitization (Paperless Port) , how could could ghost names be expunged from the government payroll without digitization, how could the economy grow without a proper addressing system, how could healthcare reach our remote areas without digitization (Drone delivery system), how could we get a strong banking sector without digitization , ...
